Our privacy posture
A formal privacy policy is being finalized with healthcare counsel. Until it is published here, this page states plainly how ClaroVisit treats your data — and these commitments will not weaken.
Visits are processed, never recorded
During a translated visit, speech is converted to text and translated in real time to display captions and, at the end of the visit, to draft a note for the clinician. Audio is never written to storage. Transcripts exist only in server memory for the length of the visit and are destroyed when it ends. There is no archive of conversations anywhere in our systems.
The note belongs to the practice
The drafted visit note is displayed to the clinician, who reviews it and copies it into the practice's own medical record system. We do not retain it.
What we do keep
Operating data only: which practice held a visit, when, for how long, in which language, and whether a human interpreter was engaged. This is what billing and each practice's language-access compliance reports require — it contains no conversation content.
Where processing happens
Processing runs on HIPAA-eligible Amazon Web Services infrastructure under a Business Associate Agreement, and ClaroVisit signs a Business Associate Agreement with every practice it serves. Content is not used to train any AI model and is not shared with model providers. When a human interpreter joins a visit, they participate by live audio through certified interpretation partners operating under their own Business Associate Agreements; their audio is never transcribed or stored.
